NSEA Sprint for Swimclusion 5K/1.5
NSEA Swim is proud to announce its first annual NSEA Spring for Swimclusion on April 24, 2021.
Help the NSEA Swim Foundation in its mission to eradicate drowning, the number two cause of accidental child death in our country. Although no child can ever be water safe, the goal is to make children in our community more water safe through a three-step process.
Step One: Educate the community on the importance of swim lessons.
Step Two: Increase participation by offering quality swim lessons to every child in the community at no cost.
Step Three: Align with community partners to share the message of water safety.
The course will run through Wilmington’s Northside neighborhood, starting and finishing at the historic Earl Jackson pool, where NSEA Swim hosts its free community swim lessons. The 5K race will be a two-loop course, starting at 8:30am; the 1.5 mile run will be one loop and start at 9:00am.
Stay after the race for local food trucks, music, and community engagement. Sign up to run at nsea-sprint-for-swimclusion.

NSEA Swim Shares Holiday Blessings Through Angel Program
NSEA Swim is hoping to make several children's holidays special this year. We have placed an Angel Tree at the Earl Jackson pool in the Northside to surprise some underserved children in the community with gifts and cheer this season.
If you'd like to participate, take a mitten from the tree to choose your Angel. Families may want to work together to sponsor a child. Wrapped gifts are due on Monday, December 14, and all gifts should be clearly labeled with the letter and number from the back of your mitten. If you have questions about the program, reach out to Kelly Crowley at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you all for sharing your gifts with our local community!!
