Our swim lesson program began with volunteers.... and became a mission! Come and join us for a Saturday or a week in the summer to change the life of a community member.
8:45 am - 12:15 pm
1:30 pm - 5 pm
Here are some examples of how our volunteers become members of our team:
NSEA Adult Volunteer Supervisor: NSEA Swim team volunteer to supervise student volunteers and keep the deck and front desk running smoothly.
Volunteer WSI/Experienced Water Instructor: a trained WSI or one who has been cleared by Blake or Sally to teach our lessons. You will be directly responsible for a group and will have other volunteers to assist.
In Water Volunteers: should be ready with a swimsuit and towel. You will be assisting a certified instructor with lessons in the water. You should be comfortable in the water yourself and be able to follow simple instructions to assist learners.
Front Desk Volunteers: assist with registration and attendance. You will be interacting with our learners and their families.
Dry On Deck Volunteers: assist the in-water lessons by helping with equipment and other needs around the pool deck.
